About

Rochdale and District Angling Society is a member run fishing club in Greater Manchester.

Originally the waters were mill lodges and used as part of the manufacturing process in the mill attached to the site. The mill no longer needed the waters for the running of its business and the fishing club was started in 1912.

We have six waters, 5 on a single site of a gated complex with secure boudaries, car parking and clubhouse providing full amenities. The other water, the Match Lodge (also for pleasure fishing) is situated outside the complex on the lane and also has it’s own parking.

The waters are all well stocked offering a variety of different styles of fishing from flyfishing to modern style commercial carp waters. We always welcome new members.

We are a non-profit society which means all funds generated through our membership fee’s is invested back into the club in ways such as stocking, maintenance and running costs.

Our constitutuion is set by the members and we operate on a one member one vote and all members have an equal share of ownership.

The committee are appointed at the AGM and voted in by the membership and any member wishing to put themselves forward can do so.
